Early Life

DJ Wizkel was born in Lagos, Nigeria on July 18, 1997. He is originally from Ijebu Igbo in Ogun state. He was brought up in Lagos State where he completed his elementary and secondary school. He gained prominence after releasing the mixtape titled "Straight Outta Ikorodu" which was a combination of songs & artistes in the hood at the time.

Career

DJ Wizkel started his career as a rapper but later picked interest in being a Disc Jockey. He started his journey as a DJ in 2015 and came into the limelight after his "Straight Outta Ikorodu" mixtape broke into the mixtape market in Lagos. He has so far released over 1,000 Mixtape, with over 75 million streams on audiomack mixtape and multiple music and visuals with Nigerian and African and international artistes.

Wizkel released his debut single in 2014 titled "The Way You Whine" featuring Otukay and Tkode. In 2018, he featured Uzboi on a single titled "Portrait Photo". He has released singles with Nigerian musicians including Seyi Vibez, Mascara Vibez, Kenny Blaze, Crystylez, G.0 and Bxluwatife. In 2020 he then released a mixtape titled "Special Delivery Vol.1" which is a motivational mixtape to uplift the soul of everyone going through life crises. In June 2020, his single "Pablo's Thought" featuring Seyi Vibez, Crystylez and MNG was huge on the street. His recently released song "Rockstar" featuring Bxluwatife dropped in July 2022.

The Africa remix featuring Bxluwatife and KennyBlaze was released in July 2023. While the international remix featuring Bxluwatife and G.O was released in July 2024.
